Performance Equine Cold Laser Therapy
The two primary uses for light therapy are healing wounds and reducing scar tissue. Skin irritations also benefit from light therapy, such as rain rot, girth itch, and other fungus-related skin problems. Other times light therapy is beneficial include, but are not limited to, treating arthritis, after a surgery, relieving sore muscles, reducing pain and inflammation (i.e. tendons and ligaments), and stimulating acupoints along the Chinese Meridians. Also, light therapy is an ideal tool if your horse is extremely sensitive, because it does not have to come in direct contact with the skin during treatments.
There are many light devices on the market, and a high-quality unit with added frequencies usually produces better results than devices with only light.
How Light Therapy Works
The red and infrared light diodes are absorbed by the skin, muscles, tissues, and bone, as well as working at the cellular level by raising white blood cell count. The result is improved cell growth, DNA synthesis, and protein synthesis in cells. Light therapy also helps enhance blood circulation, increase oxygen supply, stimulate collagen production, and strengthen skin tissues.
Performance Equine FlexiNeb Breathing Therapy
Silent, Portable, Comfortable, Compact, Efficient, Affordable, Simple
Does your horse suffer from respiratory problems, allergies, airway irritation and inflammation?
Would your horses improve their performance with clearer airways?
SIMPLE & INTEGRATED: Easy set-up and operation with no hoses, cords or awkward valves.
RAPID: For example, 10 milliliters of saline is aerosolized in less than 10 minutes.
SILENT: Unlike most nebulizers.
ADAPTABLE: For use with metered dose inhalers (MDIs).
SAVINGS: On drug costs and administration time.
Respiratory problems are frequent in performance horses. The most frequently occurring respiratory tract disorders are Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO) also known as heaves, Inflammatory Airway Disease (IAD) and Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (EIPH). Typically, their treatment includes systemic administration of drugs using injections or the oral route; however, administration via aerosol devices is now considered to be a viable alternative way to treat respiratory issues. Flexineb™ is an easy-to-use veterinary medical device that produces a very fine mist of aerosolized drug, enabling this method of treatment for the horse.
